Our Founder
“Inspiration often reveals itself through our inner desires.”
Equipped with more than a decade’s experience as an RCI Certified Special Educator, Ms. Anjena Raghuran created Saksham in 2021, with a vision to create a place where special kids could receive the support and education they need to lead fulfilling lives.
Her journey began with a deep-seated dream – to assist individuals with special needs. She recognized that education held the key to making a meaningful impact on the lives of children with special need.
To pursue this dream, she took a leap of faith, resigning from her corporate trainer position and enrolling in a diploma program accredited by RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India). Her path led her to collaborate with NGOs and work in special and inclusive schools.
Along the way, she dedicated herself to continuous learning, completing various courses, including one in Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) from the Spastic Society of Karnataka.
Her experiences in schools illuminated a crucial need: nurturing these children’s life skills for their journey beyond academics. This realization finally gave rise to Saksham.
Her passion is to provide kids with special needs with a fair opportunity – a chance to learn, play, and showcase their talents. Her mission ensures that as these kids develop essential life skills, they also receive academic support, something often overlooked in mainstream education.
